AWOS Stations & Weather Reporting
- Dual aircraft altimeters are the most economical way to supply an approved altimeter setting
- Remote altimeter data equipment is another method used to provide an approved altimeter setting, which can be considered a partial AWOS
- Automated Weather Observation Station (AWOS) can provide complete weather monitoring
- Siting, installation and services for all weather reporting systems
CBR Tech recommends that clients deal directly with the equipment manufacturers. Once the equipment manufacturer and client have agreed on the preferred equipment, CBR Tech is willing to perform installation and maintenance services.
CBR Tech installation and maintenance services for weather station equipment consistently satisfy all Canadian federal regulatory standards.
- AWOS Exemption (pdf)
- Airfield geographic surveys acceptable to Transport Canada and NavCanada
- Instrument approach survey data includes threshold, runway profile and departure obstacles
- Collection of runway and obstacle survey data (to aviation standards)
- Weather reporting facilities - AWOS to manual altimeter-only installation and inspection
CBR Tech is proud of our close association with Canada’s approach designers. This relationship ensures compliance with CFS amendments.
- Regulatory reviews and flight check can be performed when required
- Flight checking instrument procedures also available
To satisfy established safety standards while considering budget, CBR tech uses twin-engine aircraft crewed by two qualified pilots. This type is one of the most economical aircraft certified by Transport Canada.
CBR Tech’s years of aviation experience mean that we understand the rules and can help you navigate the system.
